From Street Rappers to Mainstream Entertainers. Mamiboys was formed in 2008 by Rapper Krisheno. Following a five member group to a four member group, Mamiboys entry to the Mainstream Kollywood Industry in 2010 gave a whole new look.

From Singles such as Nursery Rhymes, Shoot, Rainbow to Stripclub, this group is known to be only the second major rap act in the flavor of Kollywood after Yogi-B from Malaysia.
Having the hit song Bindaas from the new telugu Movie Bindaas which has been rated four stars on the charts of 2010, Mamiboys have had a successful entry into not only Kollywood but also Tollywood.

They are also known felonies of the fresh new label "M-Boyz Recordz", Mamiboys ventures will continue.

Beginning Career

FIRST PERFOMANCE

Popcorn Playa - Del Stellars

Hosted by DEL STELLARS in 2008, this gig was the opening act for Mamiboys. Having performed two songs " Shoot" and "Rainbow", this introduced them to the Covers of the independent E-zine "The Fixx".

Entry to Mainstream

In 2010, Mamiboys single "Stripclub" happen to reach the studio's of music producer "Mr Srikanth Deva". Being impressed, his manager queried about Mamiboys and had them booked for their first movie "Thottu paar". Though Mr Srikanth Deva wanted a rap flavor in one of the songs, he was looking into something Commercial and different and unlike  normal rap as the song did not belong to the genre Hip Hop but was more to folk. BB ( Bardy) & Kevi-J- Member of Mamiboys -  added some flavor by custom south african like lyrics and Krisheno's English verses to make the flavor complete.
Though Mr Srikanth Deva was impressed by the outcome, the song was pending for the approval of the Director, Mr Nandu, as most of the shootings were over and this song has completely changed the flavor. The previous version was without any rap flavor and all the credits in the album cover had been printed and it as almost impossible for any changes now. Furthermore the music video has to be re-shot if this version was finalized. For almost two weeks this discussion was on to add this song till the producer of the film and sound engineer " Mr Siva" - Sound Engineer of Ar Rahman, was persistent that this song would be a possible hit if included. After much discussion, this song was added to the list of release.
Being not prepared to re-print all the album covers again, Mamiboys name was left out from the credits but they were compensated by being offered to be in the music video for their verses.

Krisheno Missing Participation

Krisheno missed out the contributions to his lyrics in the music video as he was under treatment for contamination. Kevi-J and BB were still part of the music video.

Tribute to MJ Rotary Club Chennai

Major celebrities and a major event held by Rotary Club Chennai on the B'day of Pop King Michael Jackson as a tribute kicked off by the opening song "Jam" by Benny Dayal and Mamiboys.
Having the team of Ar Rahman such as Suresh Peters, Naresh Iyer, Sunitha Sarathy, Shakar Mahadevan and others such as RadioMirche RJ Suchitra and others, this tribute was meant to be the biggest show in Chennai for the King Of Pop.
